YOUNG FAMILY REUNION
August 22, 2010 — The Young Family Reunion was held on Saturday, July 24, 2010, in Dorsey, Mississippi. The attendance was great. We had 129 family members to attend. One of the special things was the attendance of Glenda and Ken Fennell, Nell and John Avery, Jon Bellman, and Cheryl Lacey from Texas. Glenda is the granddaughter of Annie Young Raper, a sister of Joseph Fletcher Young and Nell is the granddaughter of Loammie Young Cherry, also a sister of Joseph Fletcher Young. Another special The Comer family and Steve Young did an outstanding job in making the plans, getting the food, and many other things to make the day special. We can't thank them enough for all their hard work. Everyone had a great time and many family ties were renewed. The younger family members enjoyed having the swimming pool and the water slide and that made their day a good memory. Even though it was hot, a great day was had by everyone in attendance. THANKS AGAIN TO THE COMER FAMILY AND STEVE YOUNG!!!
BACK TO SCHOOL
August 22, 2010 — Several of the family members are beginning a new school year. Some as teachers and some as students. We wish them a successful school year. Two family members who will be graduating from high school this year are Bridgette Lackey and David Young.
FAMILY DEATHS
August 22, 2010 — The Young family would like to extend our sympathies to Janice and Tony Young in the death of Janice's father, Bill Tate, on Wednesday, August 11. His funeral was held in New Albany.
The Young family would like to extend our sympathies to Allene Young in the death of her son, Jim Witt, on Thursday, June 17. His funeral was held in Tupelo.
YOUNG FAMILY REUNION 2010 INFO
May 22, 2010 — Everyone should mark their calendars for July 24, 2010 for the Young Family Reunion to be held at the Event Barn behind Doug and May Comer's house in Dorsey. There will be plenty of space to park at Comer's Restaurant parking lot since the restaurant will be closed that day. We will be able to use the swimming pool at Doug and May's house and there will be a lot of space for the children to play. They plan to have air conditioning installed so it should be comfortable inside the Event Barn. More information will be forthcoming but be sure and put the date on your calendar. Should be a great time for all.
